Why is there nothing in this story about the fact that a printing error is invalidating the US results? Three weeks ago, this was reported by Education Week and there was an AP wire story.

We are to ready to spread the gloom and doom message without any pause for asking why.

How can a test written in English and given to kids in the Bronx be compared to a test written in Chinese and given to kids in Bejing?

This is an unnecessary article. As JotaB has pointed out, the US Reading results were thrown out because of printing errors. This article should never have been written, as we have no scores to compare to the other countries. This was a waste of print.
