As much as "D Will" is a great offensive player, his defense is not that great.
Jimmy's Sneakers | 7:38 a.m. Nov. 27, 2007
Ugh. Jimmy thinks that these are the types of losses the Jazz must avoid if they want to get a good seeding and home court advantage in the brutal western conference.

Jimmy would like to propose a trade. GGirecek and MHart for MJaric. Marko has been playing well lately as a starter for the TWolves, but they would undoubtedly like to move his long contract for some expiring ones (Hart is 2 years, but close enough) to assist in their rebuilding project. The Jazz had previously bid for Marko so we know they have interest.

Marko could step in as the primary backups for both DWill and RBrewer and give us some much needed floor leadership and scoring off the bench. Come on KOC let's get it done.
"AND ONE" | 8:43 a.m. Nov. 27, 2007
Is anyone else sick of hearing Boozer yell "and 1" anytime a Jazz player goes in for a layup??

Question Time | 8:54 a.m. Nov. 27, 2007
If Memo isn't making his shots, is he actually helping the Jazz by being on the floor?

If Memo isn't on the floor, who would take his spot?

Does Boozer know he is one of the worst defenders in the NBA?

Does Memo know he is one of the worst defenders in the NBA?

Will Harpring ever make it through a game without missing atleast 1 lay-up?

Combined, will Price/Hart shoot over 30% for the year?

Does Boozer actually care if the Jazz lose?

Was Giricek playing that bad, to be benched for two straight games when the other players weren't shooting well or defending either?

Will the Jazz win their division this year?

Too many turn overs is what cost the game for the Jazz. I can't believe they gave the ball away on three consecutive posessions. I know you guys can do better! Good luck in Philly tomorrow and see you back on Friday!
Who Knows? | 9:08 a.m. Nov. 27, 2007
Same goes for Booze.

My grandmother, blind, with a kane, with one arm tied
behind her back, while listening to Lawrence Welk on
her Ipod could shoot better than Kirilenko or Okur..
Kirilenko and his dismal three point shots have to end.
Sloans rotations were atrocious...Why take Milsap out when he is a stud...making basket, getting rebounds? What does Sloan have against him? If
the Jazz do not watch out Milsap will and should demand a trade.

The Knicks were playing so well last night they could've beat anyone in the league. The Jazz played pretty good defense, too. Most of the shots were contested, they just wouldn't miss. For some reason the Knicks play well against Utah, but they looked really good last night. I'm not too worried about the Jazz, though. They played well, too, just unfortunate that they played against the Knicks at their best.

Let's not panic yet take a look at the 5 losses, 3 were back to back road games (Lakers, Indiana, NY) all be it we should have won 2 of those games - and the others Houston and Cleveland were expected. Defensive is a concern as always Stockton and Hornacek were two of the worse defensive players in Jazz history and they manage 2 finals appearances. This team is clearly not playing well, still a lot of one-on-one activity. The next 14 games leading to the xmas holidays are telling because 10 are on the road. Championship teams dont lose to cellar dwellers like NY and Indiana regardless where those games are played.

I love the jazz and will always support them with the current management. But the bottom line is that they cannot beat San Antonio in a series. We have to make a move to contend with them and parker is the key. we need someone who can slow him down a bit or we have to have a team that can outscore them and that would take a better outside shooter than what we have. I love Milsapp but his talent has not gone unoticed. This kid in two years may be better than Boozer..so we should make someone very lucky for a great outside shooter now.

Michael what are you talking about John Stockton was very good defender. Players always complained about his physicality.

People her are fooling themselves if they think The Jazz will win a champoinship. All I hear here are who people buy into everything they are told
by the media and the jazz people. Maybe you should all start thinking for yourselves and do your own analysis.

Team built aroubd High scoring power forwards do not win chamionships.

Duncan is a center he plays center on offnse and besides he 7 feet tall and blocks shots and does things others that tall don't do.

Malone didn't win
Nowitzke no.
Barkley no.
Elton Brand no.
Bird was a small forward and one of the greatest ever.
webber no,
larry johnson no.
magic was NOT a power forward never played the position.
larry nance no.
on and on.

Players in the seventies were smaller, but on further analysis no high scoring player who played power forward won then either. All 6.9 players who won were centers.

Just honestly look at teams who won championships and see who was playing power forward.
Stockton/defense | 2:42 p.m. Nov. 27, 2007
I believe that Stockton is the all-time steals leader, which tells me his defense was pretty good. He had some weaknesses, but overcame them with his mind and a lot of hustle!

I cant stand watching kirilenko make those ugly passes trying to "thread the needle" he can pass but not as well as he thinks he can. Get the ball into d-will's hands!!
AK FAn | 5:36 p.m. Nov. 27, 2007
Interesting "I had two that (were) uncharacteristic." D-Will said that?he's averaging 5-6 TO per game. In one game almost reached double digit. Boozer and Derons arrogant comments start annoying.
And knicks owed Jazz last 2-3 years no matter how they were bad , may be worst team NBA but Knicks beat every time JAzz .I think last year Jazz was swept.

Jazzaholic think Sneaky Jimmy have good trade. How you get paper clip to take trade???
I would rather see a 2 for one, Collins + ? for a young shot blocker.

my 2 cents | 11:15 p.m. Nov. 27, 2007
Jazzsmack: I don't believe it's completely accurate to say that teams revolving around a PF never win a championship. But you're on to something. In a more general sense, teams centered just around a superstar can't win a championship regardless of position. Including your examples, there's AI in Philly, Kobe minus Shaq, & Pistol Pete and his playoff failures. Even Michael Jordan had help from Pippen and the Worm.

Jimmy's Sneakers: I like the trade with Gira, but we can't get rid of Hart after we finally got him comfortable in the Jazz's system. He's the only true type of PG behind D-Will. Getting Jaric would be like getting another Ronnie Price (minus the soaring and athletic ability that Price has). He'd be another combo guard that we'd have to develope into the system. Jaric's numbers aren't bad at all, but if he had to start with D-Will out, I would not be comfortable letting a guard who averages 3.8 assists per game run the point. I'd actually be more comfortable with AK-47 running the point because he gets 6.7 assists per game. Although I'm sure a lot of you guys wouldn't be comfortable with that. I can't imagine why.....

bring back girecek.

The Knickerbockers, a team that can't score more than 100 points in 48 minutes with no opposing team in the gym, managed to overcome the UID, or Unimprovising Implosive Device known as Marbury, destroyer of winning records, and beat the Jazz, a team that would find itself giving up over a 100 points also with no opposing team on the floor.

The Jazz has failed to show me they've improved on any of their shortcomings they had last year. The season is still young, but at some point, a team that says it wants to be elite, has to force their will on the opposition, regardless of what they counter with. The Jazz lack the consistency to do that. I know they have the potential, but so far, their not in the class of Dallas, San Antonio, of the Suns, that means if the Jazz played any of those teams in the playoffs first round, it's a quick first round exit.
