And then there's people like me, also from Orem, who know they can't dance.
I've been to many dances in Utah and would have to say that all the talent is counterbalanced by plenty of people without rhythm.
Sabra Johnson won season 3. Another great dancer, Benji Schwimmer, won season 2. He's not from Utah bit is from the other LDS mother-land, California.
This is great that we have so many talented people come out of Utah. The only thing is if we have all this talent from here, why doesn't the tours that these shows do come to Utah? We apparently have the talent and audience to support the tours of both shows. I am looking forward to the day that these tours finally come here.
Most of us outside Happy Valley are happiest when dancing like dorks, singing off-key in our car, and avoiding public spectacles that require "judging".
Keep on keepin' on.
Isn't it just great to see Marie with that huge smile on her face she deserves to win no questions asked that is all i have to say about it.
All I can say is WOW !!
That is a lot of talent. I wish Marie had done something other than the doll thing. It really didn't show the talent she has !!
That doll thing last night was AWFUL! I don't know what she was thinking! It doesn't deserve a mirror ball trophy but Helio and Julianne do!!
I love to watch Marie dance. The judges keep talking about technique but I would rather be entertained than worrying about technique. And when I watch Marie I am entertained!!!!! Hope she wins in spite of the judges.
Talent aside... Julianne is a HONEY! She deserves to win soley on hotness!
So, Nothing to do in Utah? Thats crazy....this place is packed, I have been here for a few years and I feel like there is still sooooooo much more to do!
So, some say Marie deserves to win? Well, if she is the best....great..I think she is just happy to be there and seems to be having a ton of fun. I don't think she REALLY cares if she wins. I think she is bigger than that.
It's not just dancing, it's acting, playing music... all kinds of artistic endeavours. We Utahns are an artistic bunch. I'm proud of that.
Could you find a little more flattering picture to showcase Marie? She is after all, Utah's most talented and popular woman. If it wasn't for Donnie and Marie we wouldn't have any claim to fame in Utah.
I agree with St. George Mama (go, girl!). I think there's tons of stuff to do in Utah. I love it here. If you're into the family and culture thing, there's a myriad of choices, not to mention beautiful geography and recreation galore! And if you're into the wild stuff, the clubs, the parties, etc., you can find that, too, if you're so inclined. Yes, Babylon exists even in Zion, my friends!
Blah! Two thumbs down for Marie!
Do you all remember Miss Utah who made it into the top 10 a year or so ago? She was the only one who wore a 1 piece swimming suit and a modest evening gown and really took a stand. Reguardless of religion, modesty is beautiful!
Let's all do better.
I wish Marie could have worn a dress that covered her better.
So that skin-tight very-thin piece of swimsuit was MODEST?
No.
A truly modest woman wouldn't flaunt her body like "Miss Utah" or Marie Osmond.
No claim to fame in Utah besides the Osmonds?
Huh.
And here I thought the Olympics, Sundance Film Festival, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and the Bonneville Salt Flats were all kind of well-known.
Silly me.
Nothing to do in Utah? I've been working on Oahu for the past 8 months and I can't stand it here. I can't wait to get back home to the "boredom". Nothing brings out the beauty of the state more than being away from it for a long time. Can't wait to drive over 30 mph.
