Three of my sons have graduated from the BYU masters of accountancy program and all three work for or have worked for one of the "Big Three" accounting firms so I can attest to the success of the programs at BYU. BYU grads are highly recruited because of their reputation of ethics and integrity. This is something our state can be proud of.
BYU has a great program, but I believe the focus is too heavily weighted toward public accounting (the "Big Four"). Do the majority of BYU accounting graduates end up working as partners in public accounting? My guess is that they do not. More emphasis in writing and 'practical' accounting would be nice.
there program supercedes my university (harvard). the mind is a dangerous thing, given the vast opportunities minus social injustices combined with nuclear combustion and diadactical attribunals.
harvard: as an alum, you should remember that Harvard does not offer accounting as a degree, neither undergrad nor grad. and I didn't even go to school their.
