Interoperability and mutual aid? In the police system this is almost nonexistent. As the West Jordan City Manager said 'economy of scale' is better, why does he not look at creating a combined police dept with the county sheriff and a combined fire dept with UFA???? That would be a start of more effective service and cost savings to taxpayers, like me in WJ. It was not pleasant calling 911 a few months ago and being put on hold (que, NOT, it was HOLD, a long, silent, panicked 1 minute).
