I wonder how this spike in anti-mormon activity is affecting mormon children outside of large LDS areas? I do believe that this is only the begining.
The sooner Romney drops out or is defeated, the better off Mormons outside Utah will be.
I guess we would be better off with Hillary or Obama then, right?
Your commments about Romney and Mormons is about the same as you were to go back in time and find someone from the Catholic faith saying the same thing about John F. Kennedy.
Your comment is pretty much what a Democrat would have said.
Get some backbone, my friends.
I would agree with Jayce that this is only the beginning. Although religious bigotry is painful for Mormons, I am glad that Mr. Romney is running for president. He is a lighting rod for those that do not understand or simply hate Mormons because of their faith. I believe that most Americans will find this type of behavior unacceptable and will rally against those that promote this type of hate speech. It is clear that Mr. Lauritzen of Western Wats knows that what he is doing is wrong. Otherwise, he would be unapologetic about what his company is doing and tell everyone who is funding this type of intolerance. Hopefully the people of Western Wats will take all of this bad publicity to heart before their next dirty tricks job.
I guess being married several times as goes the other people running for the office of president. Being married for 35 years to the same woman really must be a no no in their eyes. I hope this works against them as it did when they tried to use the Catholic faith against Kennedy.
I live in the state of Washington and if anything this is making us stronger. It is having people ask us about our faith and they are very surprised that yes indeed we do believe in Christ and that the book of Mormon is not greater than the Bible. The Bible is number one and the Book of Mormon testifies to its truthfulness.
Even polling companies outsource: it could have been an assignment delegated elsewhere so that the Western Wats guy could tell a half-truth while another company's call center did the actual work, or vice versa.
R. Giuliani also has his money in several other polling firms. It is why none of them have polled Wyoming as the 2nd caucus on January 5.
I have contacted a few of them and gotten just short of a confession from Stuart Polk at McLaughlin & Associates.
That is really sinking low to base your campaign on what another candidate religion is. I would expect that from a Clinton but respectable candidates should talk about why they are best for the job and how their policies are superior or smarter. I feel there should be laws against these kind of attacks.
A vote for Mitt Romney is no different from a vote for Hillary Clinton. They are both Illuminati. Satan is play it from both sides. By any means necessary.
Jayce/Anonymous: fear not! The saints outside the mountain west are resilient. I have lived in Orem, Utah, and in states east of the Mississippi River. Far from Utah I found saints whose testimonies are strong and, because they are often converts, cherish the Gospel and rarely take it for granted. Many lose ties with family and friends because they join the LDS church. They may be the only saints in their workplace, school, or neighborhood. There are some members who are not active, but there are very few "less active" saints; those who are active attend Sunday meetings, accept callings, complete home and visiting teaching assignments, and support the primary, YM, and YW programs. The wards cover large areas, often including more than one county. For many years I lived in a stake that covered no less than eight counties. The saints in these areas drive many miles to attend meetings and carry out their assignments. They have been called the pioneers of our time.
I have not recieved a phone call from these guys yet.
Looks like the more press Mitt gets then the more satan and "his people" are working against the Chruch and spreading false information.
please don't call me
We have not received the phone call here in South Carolina but did get a call from Romney supporters. They did not return mud for mud. They simply made us aware of the possibility that a negative poll could come our way to please disregard it. It would be quite refreshing if Mr. Romney could continue to be a good example of not bashing the other candidates as we have seen in years past from others.
