So...it seems that "others receiving votes" shows Clovis East and Grant are WAY down the list, and ! Mr. AF is right--Mater Dei is #4! Hmmmm. But isn't that interesting that Layton is ranked higher than Alta?

And Mrs. AF, did you say something?
To Region 4 Fan | 10:58 p.m. Nov. 14, 2007
Alta is ranked 57. Bingham is 91 and Layton
is 92. Rivals has Alta at 44. Layton is not
even in Rivals top 50.

Are you really that stupid to post PF PA and call that the rankings? Forget football genius....go to school take some math and statistical analysis, chemistry(but stay away from the meth)...Get a life grow up and quit acting like a loser! Or I will call Lefrandt and have him tape back your mouth shut...Scott should have come to Alta...he wasted his time on AF
COACH BRADY | 11:37 p.m. Nov. 14, 2007
I've coached each of these three - on DEFENSE. I'll tell you there's NO BETTER LINEBACKING SQUAD in this State!!!

Jordan, Boo and "Heff" are amazing - like the rest of the DEFENSE. When that final whistle blows, it'll be ALTA on top because of the SHARKS on defense!!!

Seriously - Layton folks don't know what they're in for. You might have made it to the championship but you've never seen a DEFENSE like this before.

BOTTOM LINE: ALTA 42, LAYTON 10

ALTA 42 - LAYTON 10

Nuff said.

Thats cool that you're holding on to every word by those national ranking, lets see what happens friday. Bottom line.....!
Mr. AF | 8:29 a.m. Nov. 15, 2007
To Mr. AF posting 10:47 on Nov 14. You have NO idea of what you are talking about! My son is on the AF team. Alta beat AF by ONE point according to the reports I heard.

And as I have said before, there were MANY coaches from the other teams who told the AF coaches and players after the game they were really impressed by American Fork saying they were EVERY BIT as good as Alta!

Sorry that you live in your little bubble and don't know what REALLY went on!
To: Mr AF | 10:44 a.m. Nov. 15, 2007
Thats what every coach says when you come close to beating a powerhouse. They can't say that you suck and should have never come. That is against summer camp honor code. Good luck in Macy's Day Parade.

To Region 4 Fan....Those numbers aren't the rankings. they are pts scored and points allowed this year. Alta right now as of Monday is ranked 59 in the nation by Max Preps. Bingham was ranked #26 in the nation when Alta beat them. Oh and Layton is barely in the top 100, and AF, well let's just say that they are barely cracking the top 400. Bingham and Alta are the real deals!
Mr. AF | 2:03 p.m. Nov. 15, 2007
For the posting to Mr. AF @ 10:44: The coaches from the other teams were not obligated to say anything to the AF players and coaches. They could have walked off and went about their business. But when the other team's coaches make a special effort to go up to the AF team and coaches, then it means something. Just accept the fact that it happened, it was a positive gauge of the AF team this year, and move on!

I'm just trying to point out to those Alta fans that yes, we know you have a good team and a good program. Just give a little props to other teams that have accomplished something. Now will AF or Layton (who are among the smaller 5A schools) be as good next year? They may not, because when they have 1600 students and Alta and Bingham have 2400 or so, that is a HUGE advantage. You BETTER have a more successful program!

Just to help you with the math, for every 10 great players AF and Layton have, Bingham and Alta should have 15 great ones. If Alta loses to Layton tomorrow that would be a MAJOR victory!

Why don't you read the post before commenting. It is not rankings, it is Points For and Points Against. Pineview and Alta have the put up the most Points in the nation. Congrats to both. The ones with rankings are the top 4 teams in the nation according to Max preps.
RE: MR AF | 3:27 p.m. Nov. 15, 2007
Dude..get life! I mean what does a "SPECIAL EFFORT" to kiss your butt look like? Are you related to Kobe Bryant? Look you played Mater dei and lost fairly convincingly, as I don't think it is any teams goal to play even a Mater dei, and lose by 20! Yet, you wear that loss like you somehow achieved your team goal....maybe that is why you guys are sitting instead of playing.....Aside from LeFrandt, I don't know how many of your team would even start on ALTA or Bingham....but it probably wouldn't be more than four, if any? What I did learn about Hunter/AM Fork Game was that if either team had fought as hard during the game as you both did after...Maybe you would still be playing this week? And in answer to your last question? Thats a pretty big "if" coming from someone who is in the stands and thinks they are all that because they beat Hunter and only had 3 players suspended instead of 7!! Layton has our respect...I mean they beat you didn't they?
Go Hawks!
Lancers #1 | 4:59 p.m. Nov. 15, 2007
Layton by 21!!! You have no idea what the North end of the state has been cooking the last few years. We will get it done Layton style and you will be stratching your heads wondering why the heck you counted us out...Its a dang shame that all the hype is in the South end of the state, you have been missing out on some great football players up North ..............GO LANCERS!!!
RE: Lancers #1 | 5:58 p.m. Nov. 15, 2007
Lancers #1?...maybe in Layton, but in UTAH?...you are a distant 3rd!! We are aware of the home cooking up north and we are not impressed...all year you have professed to have the toughest region in the state??......well if the playoffs have shown anything...it is that region 1 was weak, very weak! You can thank the UHSAA for the seeding that has kept you alive one more week than you deserved....but ALTA will send you home quick and swift....Run up the score!!
Come on hawks! | 8:45 p.m. Nov. 15, 2007
Forget the Mr. AF and all that junk cause his team is done. Show up tomorrow and DOMINATE LAYTON!!
keep the trophy in the south where it belongs.
WE ARE, WE ARE, WE ARE HAWKS! TAKE STATE!!!!!
i'm so pumped
