George Osmond was a great man, I was lucky enough to meet him. I'm honoured to have been in the same room as him for an hour and a half.

You did a great job with your family Father, I hope one day when I become a mother I will do as good a job

God Bless all the Osmond Family

Good Night God Bless

Mr Osmond is a man who will be sadly missed by his family and friends the whole world over. May his family find peace in knowing that Mr & Mrs Osmond are together again.

I remember the very first time I saw Mr. Osmond in person. I was a Junior or Senior in high school - it was May 1972 or 73.It was the Memoral Holiday Week in and The Osmonds were in town performing a concert. My Dad was in The Army. My Mother and I were at one of the Army Facilities on Pennsylvania to watch the 500 Festival Parade. All the celebrities that were in the parade stayed there until it was their turn to ride in the parade. A friend of mine from school came with me. We were both in the hallway and the door opened and guess who walked in. Jimmy and his dad, Mr. Osmond. I took a couple of pictures and we both asked for an autograph. I remember looking up at Mr. Osmond and he was just a smiling-he looked so proud. You guys are a wonderful family-each and every one of you are-from your parents on down to their children and their children's children, etc. What ever you are doing, please keep up the good work. The reason is God is in your life and you put him first and family being together.

As young adults, well over 20 years ago, we came to know Elder George (and Sister Olive) Osmond as full-time missionaries at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Hyde Park/Britannia Wards, London, England. At first many of us were uncertain how to interact with the father and mother of icons of the 70s. We didnt want to be seen to be fawning over them because of their celebrity status. Yet neither did we want to appear unwelcoming. The awkwardness lasted moments, really. They both quickly became part of our lives in a way that made us forget the fame and the publicity that surrounded theirs. To some they were the kindly aunt and uncle they had never known, to others a confidante, a friend to those who were lonely. Elder George Osmond? A lovely man with a ready smile for everyone, a strong faith and an outstretched hand. Sad to know that you have passed on but filled with respect for who you were and what you stood for.
