Well, greed won out. After taxes from the western half of the Jordan district built all the new schools in the east while that area was building up, those who benefited are taking their money are running away rather than responding in kind. I know, it was a "local control" issue, at least after the first comments by those starting the drive made them look stingy. But at first, it was "why should we pay for schools in West Valley? And before you fire off an angry response about my selfishness, be advised that I have no connection to that district whatsoever.
