If we aren't having to do anything to attract new businesses, why are we continually offerring them huge tax incentives to locate here? When Utah companies are having trouble hiring the workers they need, why are we subsidizing out-of-state businesses with tax incentives?

Everything in the article describes how Utah has the ability to "get to the table". Negotiation happens after you sit down!

I agree with Sue. We have to bribe to attract business. But Utah's main game is defense related. Without the war we would be hurting.

If companies are coming to Utah anyway, why are we spending public money and time trying to get them here???
