I have been selling pinyon pine nuts for 13 years and this is why there are no pine nuts. Mule deer, bear, elk all eat pinyon pine nuts. Basically, this project is not about wild life. It is about cattle. Taking away a primary food source need for winter survival of the wild life will not benefit them. Not to mention that wild American pinyon pine nuts go for up to $30.00 this year. Many, many people benefit as well as the wild life from the pinyon forest
