"restating what is already routine operation of DCFS" is hardly true. Caseworkers often have their own agenda and restating the rules straight up is not a bad thing.
If paying them only $13-15/hour and "here's another thing you have to live up to" is a problem, then something else needs to be fixed. Living up to "telling the truth" isn't all that far fetched of an idea. If a caseworker is only a caseworker because they have governmental immunity, then they ought to be kicked out of DCFS ASAP!
The bar is still pretty high to actually cause problems for a caseworker or other person involved.
Here's hoping these bills pass.

These are much needed here in utah, the office has run totaly out of control with no penaltys if they really damage a child or family by not properly investigating and just letting revenge seekers hurt innocent folks. On the same issue, money and position in the community can not be just believed either. They are just going to actually have to do the job they are being paid to do. There will not be any excuse good enough for destroying a family with out properly investiating the charges made against them. from both angles. In most cases revenge can be recognized for exatly what it is with just a few carefully directed questions, to the right people. And if the best interest of the child is really the main objective, then we must try never to traumitize a child by removing them from a loving home for false reasons. I wish an audit o how funding is used by dcfs coud be done, then we ould probably fire the really bad staff, ge rid of bad managemet and actually get back to helping families work together and get the parenting skills or lack thereof to keep families together
