It's only a few games into the season, but I don't know if I'll be able to watch Pace Mannion or Thurl Bailey all season. I'm sorry but they are horrible.
i still support you (Jazz&Slon). I wish you will get better on defense. We need some support from bench and Ak47.
I agree so what I do is I watch the game when the game tips off, turn it off at halftime, watch the 2nd half and then turn it off at the end of the game... issue resolved.
The Jazz were tired to start and finished, but played decent in between. LA was not playing good early but the Jazz could not capitalize and get a lead. Then toward the end the Jazz just seemed lethargic.
Sorry to say but the JAZZ haven't been on top of their game since 1998. Maybe it would help if Sloan would mellow out and stop being such a hot head, then maybe some of the key players would stop wanting to leave the team. Cause haven't you noticed that the LA Lakers is further from NY then UT. And, I thought Derek Fisher wanted to be closer to his daughter?
In Both losses The Backup point Guards have looked horrible. The offense has stalled and We might end up wishing we still had Dee Brown.
What is obvious is that the team was not improved during the off season. The issues we struggled with last year are still issues this year. The Jazz are weak at the two guard and do not have someone to clog the center.
The sloppy play last night was painful to watch. Maybe by the spring these guys will manage to gel together into a solid unit but watch out for any team they meet with a scoring two.
I think we are all frustrated with the Fisher situation, but let it go and move on. Look at how promising Brewer looks. If the bench can get going, specifically giriceck and harpring, they'll be fine. I agree with not being able to watch Thurl and Pace, especially Pace Mannion, simply put, that is just not good sports analysis.
Sloan needs to leave. The jazz didn't make any moves to improve, they are the same old jazz.
Two points:
1) The Jazz need to get in better shape so they don't tire so easily in back-to-back games.
2) The Jazz bench really needs to step it up, and this starts with Jason Hart. So far in each game any momentum the Jazz has absolutely stops when Williams goes out and Hart comes in. Being outscored 41-18 is not going to get it done.
why is fesenko rotting on the bench? he coulda cracked bynum a couple of times in the noggin, send collins to orem, or italy, and play fesenko.
Same old , same old. The opponent's shooting guard beats us to death and we can only answer with a gaggle of journeymen to match him and post-game praise for the great game of our opponent.
I agree that we need to get a new coach! The idea of taking D-will out in the first Quarter at the same time every game is just about a joke. He needs to leave the starters for as long as he can. The bench players are on the bench for a reason-they are not as good as the starters!
I somewhat agree with TO JAZZ above. Thurl is fine, perfect gentleman, doesn't dwell on mistakes or personalities, and knows the game, Pace is tolerable, but that third person from channel 2 always has been ridiculous and a negative to programing. Get Eaton back with Thurl, limit discussion to half time and brief postgame remarks, and interviews and be done with it. But NO this misinformed 3rd seater wants to create contoversy, and attack personnel thinking it is creating interest. Channel 2 needs to put him where he belongs, reporting high school and limited college sports. He's way over his head and is a misfit.
A little bit of an overreaction by the majority of you. The Jazz will be fine and will definitely end up better than .500. One bad game doesn't mean much, just like the one great game against the Warriors doesn't mean much. And please quit whining about Fisher leaving. We lost his leadership but Boozer and Williams have taken over that. Him leaving means more money to give to Williams and more minutes for Brewer. I for one will give Fisher a standing ovation from my living room in Pittsburgh when his name is announced in Salt Lake.
How much longer is Collins' contract?
Send Fesenko to D League and play Almond instead of Miles. Get D Brown back and let him fight for the spot with Hart and Price.
I'll have to agree jazzfanblog Sloan needs to rethink Hart the Momentum killer. Williams is looking great but can't do it all by his self all the time.
I really wish I could put one of you armchair coaches into Jerry Sloan's shoes for a week and watch you run the team into the ground with alarming speed
Seriously how many games does Hart have to cost us before Price comes in? Collins is the worst big man since Ostertag. Maybe he does teh right things on offense. But he is horrible defender. He is too slow. Oh well it is only game 4 out of 82.
So true true fan. Play Fesenko, there is simply no way that he could worse than Collins. And what about Okur? If he hits half his shots the Jazz are still in the game. Seems like he hasn't played well since he became a father. Its called a nanny Okur! Find one :)
