WHAT PROFESSIONAL CARE WOULD BE GIVEN TO THE ELDERLY WHO ARE SENT BACK TO THEIR HOMES---HOW OFTEN, TO WHAT LEVEL AND WHO WOULD BE MONITORING THEM HOURLY OR OFTENER TO BE CERTAIN THEY HAVEN'T FALLEN OR HAD A SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUE? WHO WOULD CLEAN THEIR HOMES, WASH THEIR DISHES, HELP THEM WITH DAILY MEDICATIONS, HELP THEM SHOWER, KEEP THEM COMPANY, ETC. ETC. ETC.?? I THINK PRESENTLY THE ELDERLY WANT TO STAY IN THEIR OWN HOMES AND DO SO UNTIL THEY CAN NO LONGER CARE FOR THEMSELVES. I THINK PRESENTLY FAMILY DO ALL THEY CAN FOR THEIR OLDER RELATIVES AND WHEN IT BECOMES ALL CONSUMING THEY HAVE TO RESORT TO CARE CENTERS.

I THINK THE STATE IS NOT THINKING OF THE WELFARE OF THE PATIENT BUT ONLY THAT THEY ARE SAVING $$$$$.
