But how many voters know that this bond is a fraud? They are being duped out of an extra $92 million dollars above the cost of replaceing the building. The bond is being used to commit fraud and waste in government and deceiving the public to do it. You must vote NO for this bond and make the city council be up front and honest about it. The city council approving this wasted excessive taxation should be getting chastised and criticised for their lies and deceitful practices. The people better get informed before they vote more of their income to fraudulent government.

That's RIGHT!

We need a new public safety building, not the rest of this stuff. Mayor Didi doesn't have to pay for this, so of course she is all for it.

WHAT??? do you even know what this bond pays for? State law prohibits bonds from being spent on anything but what they are intended. This is not about 1 building. It also includes and Emergency Operations Center which the City does NOT have. A Fire Training Center, which also houses office spaces for key fire departmtent functions, two fire stations and an east side police precinct. I have heard Joe Hatch's complaints too, however, I checked. Joe does not know what he is talking about. Even without the fire portions of the bond or the east side police the bond would still be over $150 million. I think the citizens of SLC deserve to have proper fire service in their areas.

"The rest of the stuff"???? Do any of you understand that this Bond funds replacement of ANCIENT fire stations and gives us an Emergency Operations Center and modern Fire Training facility??? Those fireman are using surplus trailers in the capitol city of the State of Utah. This is not a "Christmas Wish List". This is the city finally trying to bring our Public Safety up to speed. Where did this anti police and fire sentiment come from????? Those people have a thankless job, ever increasing call volume, and marginal pay. The least we can do is give them some tools to protect US!!!! What is this,...$12-$15 bucks a month??? Boo Hoo!!

$175 per year added to property taxes on average house for how many years? If there are a million homes in Salt Lake, then the whole bond would be paid and then some in the first two years...What am I missing?

There are 182,000 residents in SLC proper that will have to pay for this- (you're confused with SL County population- which includes many cities.
The bond is for 20 YEARS, add interest and it will be well over 192 million.
