Salt Lake City is emerging as a new city with a new identity that most American cities will envy. We will have a new mayor, and we need a new city council to create a good government body for our city.
Luke is the best candidate in District 4 to give all of us in the city the so much needed change in local government. Vote for Luke !!!

I had Professor Garrott while I attended the U. I found him to be highly unprofessional. He is neither "visionary" as he claims to be or have any ideas that are new. Professor Garrott is very anti-LDS. This is important because he will not work hand in hand with the LDS church which has put up all the money for the new development. One on one, Professor Garrott is derogatory towards those who do not share his "vision." If you are at all on the fence as to who to vote for, do not vote for Luke Garrott.

As a student who also had Luke Garrott as a professor and who is also LDS, I highly disagree. The ideas have been there with the incumbent, but never been fulfilled. Not only is Garrott NOT "anti-LDS," but he IS working with the LDS church to make Salt Lake a better city. When I had questions about what he stands for, he was willing to take time out of his busy schedule to talk to an ordinary citizen. To me, thats respect. Go Luke!

My husband owns a business in district 4. At least Luke Garrott has been in to his business numerous times. He listens and responds to the concerns my husband has as a business owner. He has never seen nor heard from Nancy Saxton. We have lived in her district for over 6 years and have not seen anything productive from her. I will be voting for Luke Garrott in the election!

I am LDS and a former student of Professor Garrott. In fact, I had several classes from him (five-ish) and he was probably my favorite instructor at the U. While I found many in the political-science department and disappointedly other departments as well to be very anti-LDS, I found Luke to be very respectful. In one class his praise for the Utah pioneers and their experiments with the United Order, I think made many class members uncomfortable; both LDS and Non-LDS alike. While Luke and I may very well seldom come to the same political conclusion--I being conservative and he being...well a college political science professor--there is no one else I'd rather talk things over with. Agree or Disagree Luke is a good guy who legitimately cares about other people.
