This was a great show. It was very interactive at the end when they repeated a few songs for the cameras and took questions from the audience. My kids did pretty well for a 4 hour concert. We can't wait to see how the movie turns out. What an opportunity to be at the show filmed for the new 3-d movie.

Glad the show was great, but the price that some people were paying is just plain crazy.

This concert was great. It is nice to have a modest role model that sings great songs for my kids to listen to. The Jonas Brothers were awesome says my six year old son. We had a great time. Thanks Hannah for a great show for my kids!

while some may complain about the high costs, I was able to get extra ticket, lower bowl, for $6.50 (that six dollars fifty cents) on ebay.

I am always glad to see popular events covered in the media but why is it when kids like something the media is all over itself to report on it. When a more adult entertainer comes and people pay $150 or more a ticket and it sells out nobody writes a thing? I dislike that entertainment only becomes a story when there is the "cute kid" element attached.
Todd | 10:35 a.m. Oct. 27, 2007
I agre with skeptic, why do only the "cute kids" get attention from the media? My favorite band, Dave Matthews Band, played SLC in August 2006, and I spent well over 200 per ticket for 5th row seats. They are THE best touring band these days, put on the best show, and play phenomenal and inspired music, but you dont see stories like this about them. Then some (pre) teeny-bopper comes here and it is a frenzy. just ridiculous if you ask me. she wont be anything in 2 years. glad the kids had a good time, but i think this whole thing is absurd.

Todd - obviously you don't have any children. No, I didn't get tickets from scalpers, we got them from the box office, and my four daughters had a really great time watching their favorite band and their favorite female singer. It is so nice as a parent to know that my kids favorites are modest and clean. I can guarantee you these will be the band and the new pop princess for a very, very long time. They have good heads on their shoulders. It was great for the kids to see the great Kenny Ortega, too. What a night to remember!

I have to agree at first I couldn't believe I was paying that kind of money for Hannah Montana. But after having such an awesome and memorable night with my daughter it was worth it. It was also worth it because ( as many parents have mentioned) she is a good role model and right now they are very hard to come by for our young girls. I know how you feel Todd I'm a huge U2 fan and payed alot of money to see them. Unfortunatly as much as we love our bands they don't have their own t.v show clothing lines, jewelry, or anything else you can imagine being sold with them on it. So who knows how long she'll be around but she is having an amazing ride and our kids are enjoying it.
Skeptic | 5:31 p.m. Oct. 27, 2007
Jennifer - U2 has its own iPod. Hannah will be around until something else comes along. She is another in a long line. Glad she is wholesome.

I don't like hanna montana and i can't BELIVE what some people pay for the tickets.I mean you could watch her on T.V is that enough?
Wayne Rout | 8:03 p.m. Oct. 27, 2007
I am pleased that such a sweet young girl has done so well without resorting to the gutter. I am sure that other groups so very well, but I don't think that they set the example that I would want my child to monitor. Good for Hannah and I hope she says the same for a long, long time.

Julia,
Why dont you like Hannah Montana? If you had daughters (which maybe you do), you would understand why people pay that much for tickets. It was my three daughters first concert and they LOVED it. I couldnt think of a better place to spend my money.
Four hours of watching my girls dance and sing with the biggest smile on their faces.
The financial question is relative.
If a person is worth a substantial amount of money, then why not buy tickets. You are buying memories.
If you cant put food on the table, you should watch on tv.
I work hard every day so I can provide memories like last night for my family.
What can I say? It's not the $$$ | 10:47 p.m. Oct. 27, 2007
My six year old daugter woke up after haveing a dream about Hannah Montana last night. My 10 year old said it was the best time she has ever had. They were up dancing, screaming, singing, smiling.

It took me about forty minutes to buy at face value from ticketmaster last Saturday and my wife and I were able to share their first concert with them.

I attended my first concert (Van Halen @ 1978) with a bunch of drunk, stoned frat brothers at the Salt Palace. It was fun.

Last night was priceless (I did use my M/C to get the tickets. Do I get some sorta product placement bonus?).

How much money is that worth to my daughters?
My wife and I?

(BTW Julia, I really don't like Hannah Montana either. She's not Bob Schneider, Springsteen or The Stones (I like them), but my daughters like her.)

Not only is Hannah Montana a good role model for my daughters, but Billy Ray Cyrus is a good role model for my sons and husband! I'm sure he has his challenges being famous, and trying to keep a level-headed approach to raising his daughter, but he appears to be doing a good job.

Way to Go!
