overachiever

Hodgekiss is a classic overachiever. He is not all that talented naturally, but he plays hard and is opportunistic. That has carried him through his career, but his lack of athleticism and speed was glaring against tulsa, whose speedy recievers toasted him and the rest of the secondary. The scary thing is that the only team left on the schedule with that type of speed and athleticism at WR is Utah....gulp. hopefully the cougs dont give up a freebee or two to the utes because of their overconfidence in Hodgkiss.

Did you read the article? He clearly stated that he didn't get a ball thrown at him in the Tulsa game so how can you say he was "toasted" in the game. Give the guy a break! I would guess you're a Ute fan from your comment.

wonder when BYU

will get any more recruits from Texas? You know Hodgekiss, nor his family planned on him playing on a team without TV coverage.

"At Tulsa, I didn't get a ball thrown on me, as many passes as were thrown."

Maybe overacheiver was at a different game and didn't know it?

I think Hodgkiss was and is the best Safety BYU has seen in a while. He has, in one season, surpassed all of Gabrials stats and records, he May have "lack of speed" but he is the smartest DB they got. Look at the stats in the Tulsa game, almost every play was on Gooch's side.

corby is awesome, why he's my aunts friend! He rocks. GO BYU!!!
