The Gov. playing a politician what a surprise. He gets his voice out on the waves supporting vouchers . All the while he can deny authorizing his support for the use of his postiion in the Pro-Voucher fight. Thus he can ward off angry voters come the next election.

I'm a frustrated with law makers and Governors who push thru bad legislation. All the while they keep garnering support of the masses.

It's time we get a political party that truly is the voice of the people. Democrats and Republicans are all the same. They are just in it for the prestige.

I was outed for my support just like Huntsman was by a former PTA head, so I can understand how it feels Gov. After awhile though I didn't care if everyone knew my agenda, and it shouldn't hurt the Gov anymore than it does me. After all my soul is already lost, so heh.

I actually enjoy the rambunctious nature of the debate. Overstock founder for example pointed out that anyone who doesn't vote for vouchers was bigoted this week in a debate. That is strong enough evidence to support Vouchers right? I hope EVERYONE stands behind me and votes the same as I do. I am voting STRAIGHT ticket Republican and for Vouchers.

Does our governor expect us to believe that if he called those using his name and picture and implied endorsement and insisted that they remove them that they would continue to run these ads? I can't believe that he has so little influence or is it that the powers in favor of vouchers have that much influence over our public officials. Disappointment with our lukewarm governor.

The Guv isn't a public school product, so I guess he expects those of us who are don't catch on to the
political undertoens here. We're not supposed to think like MikeGoLite, who obviously does "get it." Still, it beats the Cookie ads.

There's just nothing he can do about it--he governs a state, but he can't control his own actions. He showed up at that pro-voucher rally thinking it was what, a book-club meeting? He said he was going to vote for vouchers, but the words coming out of his mouth were beyond his control? Right.

Perhaps Utah deserves a governor who can control his own actions.

Au Contraire, to the person who thinks Huntsman isn't a public school product. In his attempts to look like a regular guy during his campaign, he really talked up how he went to the public Highland High School in Salt Lake City in the late 1970s. Never mind that in those days Highland was seen as a very elite school. Never mind that even today you will meet Highland High students whose parents are wealthy. If those supporting vouchers really think they'll help the public schools, I have a bridge to sell you. Consider who backs this issue. It all comes down to money and who can be demonized. I am sick of people criticizing public schools. It is easy to stand on the outside and complain. What have YOU done lately to improve public education?

I think people that don't like the public school system should think about how many times they've attending Parent Teacher meetings with their student sitting right there. I'm going into education not because I want to be a millionaire but because I want to make a difference in the public school system.

I won't vote yes to that voucher just so that another teacher that thinks they know more but have the same degree's I do get's money that should have been spent on my students!! If I had a class room of only 15 kids with all the technology in the world I could make sure that each student knew more as well, go figure neither of those two factors occur in Public schools! You want to make a difference maybe we should limit the number of students in each class and pay for better resources for the teachers in publis schools before we start taking money away from those schools!!
