Unfortunately, from the end of the project to Heber there is only one passing lane on the two lane highway. And, the passing lane is so short that it is worthless. Hopefully, they will at least extend the distance of the passing lane or widen the road to four lanes where feasible to eliminate bottlenecks created by trucks and 5th-wheel trailers.
It's time for a redesign of that highway. UDOT begins the new construction tomorrow.
I assume they will finish the rest of the highway and make it 4 lanes all the way to Heber. That should be much easier, as there is more room unlike the narrow canyon.
I agree with SomeGuy. Why leave the job half done. You have a nice four lane road between Heber and Park City, why not finish it with four lanes to Heber City. I would not require as much grading and certainly would add to the safety and comfort of the highway.
