Van Hooser would make an excellent mayor. To the DesNews editors, though, she would be a "female mayor," not a "woman mayor" because the word "female" is an adjective, and "woman" is a noun. An adjective, not another noun, is needed before the noun "mayor." (Godfrey is a "male mayor," not a "man mayor," and similarly, it makes no sense to call Van Hooser a "woman mayor.")

Just Mayor

I think just 'Mayor" would work just fine for Ms. Hooser.

I have found Ms. Hooser to be a very intelligent person who does listen and grasps concepts very easily. Knowing both the current Mayor and Ms. Hooser, she definately has my vote.

Van Hooser supporter

I find Ms Van Hooser to be very sincere and honest, a couple of traits that have been missing with the present administration. I believe that Susie will do a better job and finally bring the community back together, unlike Godfrey who has torn Ogden apart, and is the laughing stock of Utah.

Ogden Lover

Godfrey's plan to continue downtown development means enriching his cronies at the expense of local residents who will be paying for his "vision" long into the future. His financial methods involve giving away the store and robbing Peter to pay Paul. We cannot afford another four years of this.

I will vote for Mayor Godfrey, That's it in a nut shell, I would not vote for Van Hooser. Even if she is nice & sweet, it doesn't take much to be nice & sweet for just a little while, so go back to the kitchen Van Hooser::::: Maryetta
