Ralph is a lot of things, but arrogant is not one of them.

As an example a volunteer from the campaign knocked on my door this past Saturday (a pleasant surprise considering I live past Redwood and a competing paper said that Ralph did not come out here all that often). This volunteer was out despite the weather and told me that the reason she came out was because she wanted to show people that the campaign is working hard and is not assuming they already have this thing in the bag.

I hope people don't consider this as Ralph "ducking the debate" and give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

Ralph was 30 minutes late to a smaller candidate forum last week. Perhaps he needs to buy a calendar and start keeping track of his appointments.

Besides, it is very unlikely the state bar invited one candidate and failed to invite the other. Admit your staff made a mistake, Ralph. It is OK to tell people you can't make it to something because of a conflict-- being the minority leader at the Capitol is a good justification for not being available. It is not OK for someone who wants to be mayor to just blow people off.

I have seen Ralph be very late to events, too! Now he's missing them completely! He has no consideration for other people! My mother taught me it is a fundamental character flaw to be consistently late and I see it as a sign of bigger, future problems!

From what I've seen, Ralph has a big campaign staff. I find it hard to believe that with several people involved in his campaign, he can't keep his schedule straight. What is really going on here? Was Ralph sick of having his record called out by Dave?

I see Buhler's campaign staff is posting comments on here again.

What's wrong staffers supporting their candidate? The Trib boards are flooded daily by known Becker staffers; those clowns (message board posters and bloggers) are the ones running the dirty campaign.

Either one would make a better AG than the current administration's.

I wonder if Becker is avoiding some of these events because he lacks charisma and is afraid that if people get to know him too much they will vote against him. I am not working on the Buhler campaign, but I do plan to vote for Dave. At least he shows up and is articulate. Becker is boring.

Just what SLC needs: an unreliable mayor.
