warren miller and his Jags sports echelon dorks will get none of my dough.
those chumps treat snowboarders just a little better than Robert Redford and his
faithful flock in Provo canyon.
Ummm, super shredder, you do know that Warren Miller was the first filmmaker to
show snowboarding in a feature ski flick, right? And you do know that he's done
several segments with snowboarders in every movie since, right?
That's right, I forgot - anybody that shows any skiing is a nerd. That's why
you've got your "indy" snowboard flicks which are 2 hours of 12-year-olds
catching 18" of air then stopping to brag about it while throwing up gang
signs.
And by the way, you're the first person to use the word
"shred" since about 1989.
Get over it. If you want to Ski Alta or experience the space of Deer Valley,
then strap on a pair of ski's. Tell me how tough you are when you have to
platform on two boards 210 m long, and wrap them to your ankles with wet leather
and need a snorkel to breath, rather than float a banana. Try it you might like
it and appreciate those that got you into the mountains, in the first place..
I've lived in the greatest snow on earth. Too me, it wasn't that great. I
remember the inversion layer, yellow snow and winter fog too. The north wind
blowing down the valleys made winter a bleak experience to have to endure.
I spend three years in Frankfurt. I got to drive a gas tanker on the icy
autobahn, play army in frozen forest and dig out trucks. Thank god, I wasn't in
a armor unit. I saw Third Armor work on tanks in sub zero weather. They didn't
do garages. It was done out in the weather.
Here I can ski Saturday,
sail Sunday and see the snow capped mountains seventy miles east. Here you know
Christmas in nearing when the navel oranges ripen and the camellias bloom.
This movie sounds sweet. I love Warren Miller flicks- great quality shots and
people just loving what they're doing. I look forward to seeing this move and
getting stoked for ski season!!
Utah doesn't have a monopoly on light-powder. I've had some great powder days at
Winter Park Colorado...Colorado's favorite (which is this Oregon gal's favorite
too!)
Regardless...Warren Miller's flicks get my adrenaline pumping
and ready for the ski season.
My Verio-Orem, Utah colleagues will be at the Orem show on Wednesday. We plan to
be loud! And who cares about any other "powder" than the stuff that's near you
and plentiful. Sheesh.

Pray for snow.
