Thank you for the great article on Mike Ramsdell.
I have read the book and loved it !! One copy has been passed around a lot here in Mapleton and the ward book club has it on the agenda for discussion.
Again, thank you--I am a big fan of yours and the articles you present to the public.
Sincerely, Iris Brown-Mapleton, Utah

A true "American Hero" out of Bear River! Indeed who woulda thunk it?!?

A great read-impossible to put down.

Can't wait for the movie...just wondering who they are going to cast in your part. Brad Pitt? Maybe George Clooney? No, almost has to be Clint Eastwood-only guy old enough!

Also looking forward to the sequel.

All the best!

As a short-term contract agent in the "Agency" this article has triggered memories which confirm the mundane activity that so often characterizes such work. However, two events surfaced in my mind related to that experience. Years after my two-year stint in a Latin American country I returned in another capacity and discovered that each of the nationals that I had known in the job had all been killed in the ensuing years; typically being gunned down. Another was an event in recent years where a son was reading my autobiography while traveling across the country and was astonished to discover that his dad had been a CIA agent. Evidence that the required secrecy had been maintained.

Too bad the movie can't be made by a legitmate film company.

Looking forward to the sequel! The first book was very good. Candidly, it isn't that it was high literature, but your story and way of presenting are very compelling! I had never heard of it until our book group decided to read it. Keep up the writing and enjoy Hollywood! We'll look for the changes Hollywood forces, and think we are on the inside!

Also, sorry you had the other mess with the government. Makes you wonder if they were sacrificing you to catch Hanssen. Since I am a citizen, can I apologize to you on their behalf?

"There are so many of these shoot'em up movies."

Amen to that...And not even realistic at all...

I love this book. I have bought over 6 copies because when I loan it to family or friends it never comes back to me. I hope they make a movie of the book. Mr. Ramsdell signed my last copy so I won't loan that one.
