This drug will succeed! It is indeed similar in nature to bay 57-1293 in that inhibits the helicase primase process to unravel the dna strans then attacks it! It also will provide longer intervals between outbreaks!
In phase 2 clinical trials now-soon to be in phase 3.

i really hope this can work for hsv1 as well. i have it orally and because of persistent stress in my life i have outbreaks all the time even with valtrex. it has thoroughly destroyed my life to a degree that you could not believe without knowing me personally

If it works, I'm sure it will work on both HSV1 and HSV2. They are virtually one in the same.

They are going to phase 3 early next year. Thats what i heard.

Is there any additional information on this from Astellas themselves?
This drug needs to get to market ASAP. There are soooooo many people who need it so badly.
