Unfortunately the problem is even bigger than this. We lose close to 6,000 families members at work each year and this does not include 4.2 million non-fatal injuries and illnesses were reported in private industry workplaces or those who die because of occupational illnesses.

Our government needs to take a closer look at the system that deals with these families there are more issues then I can count. Just a few being enforcement, accountability, workers comp, and family involvement.

I do have to give the Mayor Gordon some credit for compassion because that�s the best place to start. But don�t let it stop there; we have much more work to do!

I will keep you all in my prayers.
