Sgt. Eichhorn may be a good officer, but she is a horrible public servant. I wonder if she decided to sue on her own or if she responded to a TV ad by Mr. Heil. Does this mean if I slide off the road in a snowstorm that Id better tell the highway patrol to just leave me there until the middle of some summer night with a full moon when all the snow has melted and the roadway is completely dry and empty and as a light as can be for that time of day so the patrolman will not be put in any danger helping me? After all, it was my fault that I was out driving in a snowstorm. Ridiculous!

I cannot believe that this officer would even consider sueing this family over this. I am in complete amazement at the audacity of the whole thing. That would be similar to an officer sueing a family because they were injured in the attempt to stop a crime against the family. When you enter either the police force, EMT, fire department or any other public service organization I believe you accept certain risks. Nobody is at fault for this accident, but the outcome is truely tragic.

Fire the police officer immeadiatly and make her get a real job and support the poor little boy.
