As a graduate of the U, it makes one proud. It is absolutely fantastic. Interesting that I read this in most of the papers on their front pages yesterday, when there was, apparently, a more important headline on this newspaper.

We are former neighbors of Mario Capecchi. We are so happy for him and not surprized by his accomplishments. He is a quiet kind man who deserves this honor.

Congratulations to Capecchi! It is unfortunate more praise was given to and information about the U rather than to Capecchi. From the article, one would be lead to believe that the Nobel committee had selected the U for the award.
