How does a union want me to vote?? Give me a break.
I commend the the Union for showing restraint in choosing not to discuss the actions of their former chief during the last mayoral election. His negative statements to the media regarding Mr. Billings' opponent, a former firemen, were in sharp contrast to the positive performance evaluations Mr. Porter approved for the same man, and the many awards he had be given as a firemen in Provo City.
The Firefighter's Union is very shortsighted in their support of Turley. Former Fire Chief Porter would be much more beneficial for issues facing the fire dept. in the future. Usually, the Union decision is made by those in leadership and not the body as a whole.
