You guys that talk about "liberals this, liberals, that"...I just turn off without reading another word. Rarely do you present a rational argument...just the hogwash you parrot from Rush and Hannity. Please...don't embarrass yourselves any futher.

Steve, the problem with anecdotal stories is that of statistical relevence. You point out that Waterford is handling special need quite well, others do as well. And private schools are not required to do an IEP, which is a public school term. What private schools do every day is work with the parents and students in resolving issues. As I pointed out, often an IEP is a crutch for poor interaction with a child.

Private schools are going to do just fine with these children. Not perfect, but neither is the public school system.

The point being, the anti-voucher crowd has used this as an example of creaming kids; taking only the good ones. That is not the case by and large. That is a wonderful story.

A very good friend of mine who taught at a charter school, now teaches at a very affordable private school can vouch for her school, admited anecdotal but now we have two stories of private schools doing it well.

And no first hand stories of private schools doing it bad.

Private schools serve the customer. Someone walks into your business, do you not try to work with them? Private schools are the same.

Waterford does not keep the child, so I don't think you understood the point I was making. They send them to the Public school where they get the help they need, because they do not have the staff/training required to help the child the best.

Some sleuthing in the blogosphere has revealed that PCE paid Mark Towner, a notorious Utah spammer, to deliver the faked e-mail messages. Just go a quick Google search for "Mark Towner spam" and you'll see it all laid bare.

I don't care about your children nor their education. This issue is increasing the money I must pay because you have kids. It's your responsibility. Quit asking for handouts!
