I Suppose

That if a person is watching "America's Next Top Model" that there would be a crew of photogs and a nice warm trailer to stay in.

Just because a person is a model doesn't mean they don't have any common sense!

Me

Yes it does!!!

Clueless

The point in the article was that there is no value in watching America's Next Top Model. It is pointless. A waste of time. But there is some value in watching some other shows such as Man vs. Wild.

I know that I have more of a chance of using information I gleam from Man vs. Wild than America's next Top Model since I don't do the runway thing.

Wait, I bet they teach people how to stand in a really sexy way.... I could use that. And how to have pouty lips. Or how I can make a lot of money by teaching America it better to be extremely thin no matter the costs. I don't care if the girls are "smart" that show doesn't have any value.

Is That The Same

America's Next Top Model which Tyra Banks hosts? The modeling industry isn't interested in the "extremely thin" look in case you don't follow the industry. They don't 'teach people to starve themselves into anoerexic twigs'. The industry doesn't wish people to become ill, that would not be a sign of good health and part of being a successful model is being in good health. Being a good model requires excellent physical beauty which takes sound nutrition to achieve.

Anyway, if the person would have been watching America's Next Top Model instead of being out hiking when there was a bad storm all the drama would have been avoided in the first place!

Map Reading 101

Glad the guy is ok. Couldn't care less about what is offered on TV these days. If I had to chosse though it would probably be 'Man vs Wild' over American; Model, Idol, Dancer, Bugmuncher or any of the other staged "Reality" programing offered.
I am responding for the benefit of the reporter who wrote this story. FYI, Lightening Ridge is in Weber County in the Ogden River drainage, up Ogden Canyon. Weber Canyon is 30 + miles south of there.
Also, after describing how the man found his way out and got a ride to the local Chevron you state he was "Found by the Deuties". What ?? Seems to me he found them while they were wating for the donut delivery truck. I understand that the media thinks that Utah ends at the Capitol building on the north and BYU on the south, but it doesn't. Maps are available. Buy one. Even news people can be trained to read one, most of the time. Besides, if you can't even get the location right, how are we supposed to believe anything else you wrote in the story ?
