Way to be positive Giricek!
Are you taking notes Andre | 8:54 a.m. Oct. 2, 2007
I have always been in favor of trading Gira away, but when you work hard over the summer, and come back with a good attitude, then maybe he needs to stay. Hopefully AK was taking notes on how to handle an uncomfortable situation. Nice work Gira.

I have always wondered why us Jazz fans are skeptical of Giri. He works hard, never complains, and is positive. The only knock I have on him is that he seems to be injury prone. I have always thought he could be the 2 guard we are looking for if he can just stay in the game long enough to creat rythmn. Give him the few touches AK has and is complaining about and Giri would average 12-15 points a game.

Good to see Giricek come in with a postive attitude, but what did you expect. This is a contract year from him, I see him playing hard and not complaining so that he can get a new deal. Whether it is from the Jazz or not. I can see him having great numbers which will help as far as a trade mid-season. If the others (Almond, Miles, Brewer, and Price) step up and perform we could trade Giricek. If not he has a great year and then moves on. But I don't see him in a Jazz uniform past this year.

Gordon is the man, way to be posotive, AK does need to take a lesson, Gordon is a good solid player that needs to stay in Utah, no need to trade a good player. HE STAYS!

Wow, I am surprised to hear Gordan coming to camp with a vengeance. I have long been critical of Gira in the past. The door is wide open at the 2-spot, and if he can avoid not taking those suspect jumpers that he took in the past (with 16 seconds on the shot clock), that'd be just what the Jazz need.

I'm a huge Brewer fan, but he can't hit a jumper to save his life - he's a slasher. I like CJ but he has no confidence - to slash or to hit jumpers. Almond? He's a rookie, and let's face it, Sloan doesn't play rookies. We need Gira's range to stretch the defense and occasionally hit the 3. Surprise me, Gira.

I am impressed with his off season effort reguardless of contract year or not. He led the Jazz last year in three point shooting percentage which tells us he can hit the shot. His pitfall was always trying to create on his own and not staying within the offense which put him and Sloan at odds and him on the bench. If he would stay outside and hit the jumper it would be fine but he always wanted to drive and shoot which he usually got swatted and his man came up on the fast break for a dunk. Jazz really need him to stay outside and hit the jumper to draw the defense out from the key to open it up for the inside players. I hope he does well and can teach Almond the ropes.

You mean to tell me that Williams waits until the day before camp to have his wisdom teeth pulled? He couldn't find a couple of days during the summer to have them pulled? I'm shocked.

And, Harpring waits until August to have his knee cleaned up? Why wasn't that done as soon as the playoffs ended for the Jazz? I'm just really surprised by both of these, way too late, moves.

Any stat of how often he got travelling call? I don't get to see too many Jazz game, but last year, every I watch the game, he will get 2 to 3 travelling calls.....
