Bizarre legal wrangling

This conviction should make everyone nervous. I can't support Jeffs, his religion, or behavior, but this trial is a travesty. It is apparent that this was an effort to break up a seperatist group (after all, that seems to be the worst crime in America).
Look at the actual charges, they are ridiculous. Rape accomplice because he suggested her salvatioin depended on it? If we were really concerned about rape, why aren't there charges against the husband who committed the deed, or her father who started the marriage in the first place? This is purely about trying to break up this group.
Can I use this legal reasoning to get the money back that I've given to my church? After all, it was done because my salvation depends on it.
With all of the supposed wrong doing (after all, her was on the FBI's top 10), is this the best legal case we can bring against him?

What church do you belong to? My advice is find another, because your salvation does not depend on the money you give, but on the Savior in whom you place your trust.

They could place charges against the husband and parents easily. They'd have a hard time sticking those charges though(and waste a lot of money) if the victim in the crime doesn't want to cooperate in prosecuting those people. She seems to blame Jeff's primarily for what happened and seems to bear no current grudge against her ex-husband.
