So, I guess we are now smart enough to have a cheesecake factory? Wasn't it just a year or so ago that they said they wouldn't build in utah because of not enough college grads???

I love Chipotle! Come to Lehi/AF Chipotle!

Sheila

I would like to see Trader Joe's come to Utah. I make special trips to Nevada to stock up on their products that you cannot find here and bring them back. This store is very popular in Nevada and Calif where I visit alot. I have written to them but have not had any response from Trader Joe's. I think they would do well here in Salt Lake.

Less Spendy, More Earny

Utah has an abundance of places to spend your money, but certainly not enough places to earn a decent living. I love Utah, but it's sad that the lack of corporations, the lack of high paying employers make it so hard to make a living.

Richard

I agree with Sheila.

chipotle is good! In fact, excellent. I am going to go eat their for lunch now! Cheesecake Factory- gidde-up fast!!!
yeah, start paying a better wage- open up your wallets!

Sheila,
Trader Joes will most likely never come to Utah. A big part of their business is alcohol sales and there is no way under current Utah law that they would be able to sell Two-Buck Chuck.

Heath

I too would really like to see Trader Joe's here. I lived in CA for a few years, and loved that place. Lots of great stuff, and so much cheaper than Wild Oats. I did call them over a year ago to see about them coming here, and the gal I spoke with said maybe within the next 5 years. So who knows? I can see how the whole alcohol thing might keep them away, though (too bad!).

Rich

There are Trader Joe's in Pennsylvania, where alcohol sales are tighter than Utah. They're kind of not the same without the wine! Just filling up the suitcase in D.C. with wine bought from Whole Foods...sigh....

Patata Brava

Chipotle Mexican Grill is neither Chipotle, nor Mexican, nor a Grill. Discuss.

I was just going to add that comment about Trader Joe's and PA. It appears they do fine there without the hard alcohol, so why not here where the laws are even more lax? Hmmmm... Yes, that's the retailer I miss most here. Give me a TJ's.

So, where is Crate and Barrell?

I'm so excited, finally Utah is starting to grow. I can't wait for American Apparel and Urban to come here, they have the best clothes. And like i go to Trader Joes' all the time, and they have the best specialty EVERYTHING! They def need to consider coming here, and actually I've read on message boards and there is an huge amount of people that want them here, i think it should be a matter of wether SL wants them and THEY DO! Who cares, geez Utah really needs to get over the alcohol its the 21st century, a lot Trade Joes' products aren't just for drinking, a lot of it is for cooking so they really need to get over it.

Now we just need to convince In and Out Burgers to com e here...
