As the State Coordinator for this very organized campaign to establish a U.S. Department of Peace, I encourage every Utah citizen to join in this conversation. The concept of a Cabinet level Department of Peace was first proposed in the original Congress of the U.S. The only reason it's never come into reality is there has been no demand for such from the people.
The U.S. is the Global Leader in alot of things, including Violence. We are 10 times more violent than any industrialized nation on the planet. As a Mother & Grandmother, I can see No better use of my time than to work to establish Peace in our nation and on our Planet. Please go to thepeacealliance.org to read this timely legislation and then call our Representatives and tell them that the people of Utah want them to lead the way by co-sponsoring H.R.808. You can find your reps on congress.org. Please especially write Senator Hatch and ask him to introduce a Senate version of the bill! Thanks Natalie for a great story. Regarding peace in our time, if not now, when and if not us, who? Join us!
Great to see the word getting out on HR808!
