Therefore saying he "despised" Cheney was equivelent to saying he "despised"
bitter partisan politics. Has there ever been a more bitter and partisan public
figure than Dick Cheney? Well maybe that other guy named Dick.
I don't think despising the Dick is bitter politics. Cheney makes it so easy to
despise him, it's more of an autonomic response. I worry more about those who
don't...
The most intolerant people I know are those of your (I
assume) political philosophy. I don't consider myself insance and I don't
despise Dick Cheney. I do understand why those on the left hate him. He's not
afraid of them.
Cheney represents what conservatism can become when based on extreme
partisanship, fear and greed. He cut the soul out of that ideology. For a
contrast, compare his attitude and actions with Ronald Reagan. The differences
are extreme!
The former governor was very partisan, despite the news stories. Example: at the
last state Democratic convention he attended, the Deseret News and Salt Lake
Tribune reported that in a speech to the convention the former governor referred
to Utah's three Republican members of the House of Representatives as "the three
stooges". This comment received a standing ovation from those in attendance.
Hey, Hillary called Cheney "Darth Vader" yesterday -- and that was being polite.
I'd call him something else, but the Deseret News moderator would censor it.
So criticizing Cheney makes you partisan? Are you suggesting that he shall not
be criticized? Wow I want that kind of power- all I have to do is win an
election, and then no one can ever crticize me again? Nothing negative can be
said about me again, without those people being ostracized? Wow even Jesus
didn't have it as good as Dick Cheney!
Cal Rampton was about as non-partisan as a politician can get. His remarks about
Cheney prove that he was an excellent judge of character. Or, in Cheney's case,
the lack of it.

Could it be that Rampton was implying that Dick Cheney IS the personification of partisan politics today? Do you think?
Not liking Cheney is not being partisan. Stop being so thin skinned you neo-con's...
Republican or Democrat, you have to be insane not to despise Dick Cheney. Expressing that opinion only suggests that you are human.
That was his personal opnion and there are a lot of people out there who publicly despise Vice Pres. Dick Cheney.

I despise people that shoot their friends in the face.
I think FRK should go hunting with Dick Cheney.
