it's about time BYU's hockey team was resurrected to official status. 1983 was the last year it was an official club sport as i understand it. UVU will become NCAA Div 1 in the next few years while BYU will stay ACHA div 2. Air Force is Div 1 and was one goal away from the Frozen Four last year. BYU could easily be a div 1 NCAA title contender with the correct athletic direction in hockey. the Marriott Center needs to have an ice plant installed and the place would be packed!!! wow, that would be so cool. i can just see it now. forget about basketball and even football for that matter. hockey has to be the most exciting sport on earth.

That is awesome about the hockey team! I have always loved going to "Icecat" games. Hopefully now the games will be more publicized and draw bigger crowds. I don't think that UVSC will ever go NCAA Div 1 in hockey, or any other Utah university. They will be lucky to make any waves in their current situation. College hockey is a lot different than football or basketball. You can't go Div 1 just because all your other sports are. Plus you have Title IX issues. Anyway, way to go BYU Hockey. I'll be sure to be there come Oct 12!!!
