Another team ruined by the owner. everything he touches turns sideways. very sad. and the taxpayers are footing the ball i mean bill for a new stadium courtesy of the Guv? give us a break in the leg... and the wallet.
I watched the game via the internet last night and was amazed the entire game (as I have been amazed all season) on how much RSL dominated the game but still managed to lose the game. They dominated the entire first half. They could've scored tons more goals. They have the worst luck in the world. I feel sorry for them. I'm a loyal fan and I think it is unfortunate that so many that do not understand soccer see the score line and immediately say, "RSL sucks therefore the stadium is a bad investment." Things have to turn around for RSL eventually. The bounces can't go against them forever.
Or the coach? Ex-coach Ellinger is to blame for our current position. Current coach Kreis is still learning and should be ready for next season. Unless you are a tourist..your wallet won't know the difference for the stadium.
I think Real palyed very well. They need to capitalize on set plays, and I didn't agree with a couple of the susbtitutions. I think they finally have the pieces in play to be a good team. They have had a lot of bad luck, and bad calls, but next year is going to be different. When they get going I think the calls will go more their way.
I am a true Real fan and can't wait for the stadium. Soccer is the best sport in the world!!! The bad luck will turn into good luck with the new players they have acquired and Kreis even though it may take a while.
So how do you blame a owner for the match last night? The stadium project is getting some public funding but the majority of the project will be paid for by the team, funny that those who know little of the actual funding, feel like spouting off on stuff.
Last night, the match was a great match to watch. If a casual soccer fan or sports fan in general watched it, they would want to see more. It was that exciting of a match, constant attack and counter, 20 plus shots, 14 shots on goal, and great players in net for both teams.
Two glaring weaknesses were shown last night, first is RSL's lack of size. Eddie Pope was under the weather, and Atiba is at home trying to help his national team make the olympics.
Second is we are still needing a very sound striker, we have good number two forwards, but we do not have a dominating striker. With more than a dozen shots on goal, we need more than one on the scoreboard.
RSL are a much better team now under Kreis than they ever were under Ellinger. RSL's record this season is terrible but since Kreis has taken over he has finally got players and a system that are producing some beautiful soccer. It used to be that if we beat anyone it was because our guys just ran harder than the other team adn got lucky, but now it isn't a fluke if we beat anybody.
They look much better defensively than they ever have, and when they do go forward they are much more dangerous.
Keep up the good work RSL and Kreis.
