How does these rankings even work? Orem beat American Fork in their season opener and beat Layton in preseason play, but are inexplicably not in the top 20 teams in the state. Let's face it, everyone else in 4A this year is just playing for second place.
I really don't think that Orem can beat Highland and especially Cottonwood. SO when it comes down to it...Orem you are playing for like third or lower.
How many of the Orem wins are at home? If those are road wins then certainly some credibility can be given.
Where is Panguitch in all of this? I would like to see some of these smaller schools play the larger schools. A lot of the 2A and 1A schools could beat most of the big schools, but they don't get the publicity that they deserve!
Panguitch. hmmm. lets put them up against 5A/4A powers like: Lone Peak, Cottonwood, Skyline, and Highland and we'll see exactly why they're not on that top 20. It's not about how many teams you beat, its who you beat. not enough people give this ranking polls enough credit.
Panguitch isn't here because they couldn't go up against the likes of Cottonwood, Skyline, Lone Peak or Highland. I think Rich is the only 1A team in the state that can go up against the big dogs and come out of top. Rich has to play these big teams just to get competition. Panguitch? Please they can't even stand in Rich's shadow when it comes to volleyball!
I agree with the person above me. Rich makes an effort to compete, but if you look at Panguitch's past seasons, have they even made an effort to go up state and play?
Our girls are the cutest! We win!
Our girls are the cutest!??! hahahahahhaha sorry but being cute doesnt make you win.. Were coming for ya again!
Its a joke that you guys even put Highland up there as a contender when they got knocked out in the 1st round of State Championships last year w/their whole team that is returning this year...same team, same results. Now Cottonwood...yeah but Highland?...NO.
That's so true about Highland, over-rated for nothing---nada---zilch. Its too early in the season to tell but I don't see them as one of the strong teams standing, I mean they almost lost to Olympus High...C'mon now.
A lot of you idiots in the Salt Lake Valley have no idea where Panguitch even is. Like was said up above, Panguitch could beat most of the bigger schools. Not all of the schools if some of you could read! Panguitch does compete every year for the state title, but they have not been able to beat Rich yet, but you just wait. If we had the funding to go play up north more often then we would and we would do very well.
Panguitch has not played every year in the state championship game...wow c'mon now...stop the lies.
Go Bobcats!!! -- You say they can beat most of the bigger schools, haven't seen it yet. And don't use excuses on why you guys can't come up north. EXCUSES do not equal WINS. Sorry!
Whoops and what up, if I saw the score right cottonwood almost lost to oly 26-24 and one more thing hasn't highland defeated you the past 3 out of 4 times. sept 25th will be a great day for the rams
do you just think your gods panquitch?! you wouldnt stand a chance against rich..and let along 5a schools!
to ramsfan----hahaha. did you see the first two sets? and that 26-24 score was the third set, olympus varsity played JV and Sophomores the 3rd set. yeah highland won 3 of the 4, that's true, but you're not looking at the whole picture. Cottonwood took 2nd 2005, state champions 2006, ranked no. 1 starting the season through now, finishing 1st at two tournaments, and 2nd at the Asics Tournament this year. highland came no where near the state championships last season.
it'd be awesome to see san juan and rich battle it out.
i agree...i almost believe that the broncos would win it...
Of course the Broncos would win! They Know whats up and they know how to beat! 5 peat Yeah!
