It has been over 50 years, but the memory of the excitement I had when I was in one of his wonderful classes is still fresh and exciting. Thank you J.D.

JD is an unforgettable teacher and mentor - who cared as much about his students as his class. His belief in democracy and its impact on the individual and society was and continues to be awe inspiring.
I will always be grateful!

I think I was J.D.'s first Master's student - in 1954. He and Sam Rich provided me with the tools for future graduate studies and an academic career. J.D. taught me the essentials of Public Administration, and Sam taught me International Politics - thus I went on to be a scholar and pracitioner of International Public Administration. J.D. and I kept in touch over the years, and he honored me by naming me an honorary member of the Hinckley Institute.I will miss him sorely.

In addition to the difference he made in the community and ultimately in the nation, J.D. Williams passed the litmus test. Through J.D.'s
willingness to support his beloved in fulfilling her purpose, the world has reveled in more than fifty books by writer Barbara (Bea) Williams. When a person of charisma enjoys being upstaged by his wife, we know we're regarding a real man.
