Bennett lays out health-care legislation

I feel your pain but socialism is not the answer. What you are experiencing is the pain of not being able to afford all the nice things government has "given" you. The fact of that matter is, Government takes your money, tells you how to spend it, then gives it back to you, only they don't give it all back to you.
If we add more mandates to medicine the system will only be more expensive. Now I am guessing by your comments that you are older. And for the older Americans they don't seem to care about the kind of country they are passing on to their children and grand children. Right now we have over $65 trillion dollars of debt and future bills to pay. We cannot continue to spend like their is no tomorrow.
What we need to do is remove most all mandates from health insurance. In some states they have so few mandates that decent policies cost $150/mo. I just purchased a great HSA for my family (4 of us) and it will only cost $243/mo. And if you can't afford that, get a second job. And I am not being mean but if that is what you have to do to take care of your family, then do it.
The bottom line, if we turn our health care over to the Government, like Canada, England, Cuba, etc we are going to have increased costs and far less service.
Bennett is flat our wrong on this one.
I give you credit, you are at least honest about it. i don't know if you are being sarcastic or not but I would almost rather have a full blow admitted socialist in office then a Republican pushing socialism.
Right now we have Senator Sanders from either New Hampshire or Vermont, I forgot which one. He is listed as an Independent, which is correct. He does have a political party affiliation though. He is a Socialist.
What is interesting about Senator (used to be a Congressman)Sanders is that his voting record is actually more conservative then about half of the Democrats! He typically scores in the 30's on a scale of 1 to 100. 1 being a Marxist-Communist with some Maoism thrown in. So with him scoring in the 30's about half of the Democrats score more liberal than an open and avowed Socialist! And on different score cards many Republicans end up voting shoulder to shoulder with this avowed Socialist.
What should this tell us? For starters, the Democratic Party has really gone off the deep end. And then throw in some Republican leaders aren't far behind.
I am guessing that Sen Socialist, and the honest poster to this website, are going to be thrilled with Senator Bennett's Cuban-esque proposal. You know, he and Fidel Castro.
On a side note, let's pray this goes no where. I think what is really at play here is that Senator Bennett has joined up with Romney for President. Romney passed a complete flop of a program in Mass. while he was Governor. In order to make the idea of Government controlled health care and Romney's socialism look good Bennett is playing with his own. So it is all a game.
Bennett should be ashamed!
He lost my vote for life!
You have to take the profit motive out of Health care. Caring for sick people is not about becoming wealthy. It's about public service. In the US medical practice has become a perversion of "champaign wishes, and caviar dreams." Do you really want the person operating on your brain. Just there mostly for the money. Think about it.
National Health Care is a no-brainer. It's time for action. Find out if your senator or congressman is backing National Health Care HR 676. And prepare to file and run against them if they don't get HR 676 passed pronto! See www.sickocure.org.
And don't worry that you might not be good enough. Any man or woman that supports National Health Care for all is a better person than any politician that doesn't support National Health Care will ever be. No matter how big the politicians name may be. Do it. NOW!
Make sure you know your filing date. And filing fee. This is bigger than personal fears any of you may have about your inadequacy. You can do this. You must do this. Run if you have to. Run in teams if you have to. Just make sure you take out your representative if they don't back quick passage of HR 676. Now!
It's not ok for children, babies, and other Americans to die for lack of affordable health care. It's a disgrace.

So now Senator Bennett has joined the Socialized Medicine crowd. I have supported Senator Bennett since his first run against Joe Cannon. I will now oppose him at every cost.
He is creating a universal health care system, removing some of the "terms" to describe it and calling it good. Bob, if this type of system is so good why is the Soviet Union no longer? Have you read anything about Canada's wonderful health care system?
We have Governor Huntsman pushing the Kyoto Treaty and now Senator Bennett pushing Socialized Medicine.
I am ticked!
