Beckerman speaks from the heart. I can't believe how dismal they have been playing when they have so much talent. Chemistry must be lacking, along with confidence
I have a hard time refering to Harris's attempt at goal against Chicago as "talent". He has been a much more effective player on the team when he's playing a defensive midfield position.
A lot of political capital was spent to give these guys 35 million in tax-payer money. This team needs to begin playing like they appreciate the support from this community...now! The playoffs are out of reach, but they can win back fans if they do.
I must be missing the talent part. I see a lot of bad players out there and an equally bad coach. These players practice and play with each other daily, if they had talent then they would get shots on goal, score goals, and win games. They do none of the above. Kreis has made the worst trades in coaching history. I mean really, who gets rid of the previous year golden boot winner? An idiot thats who. Who retires to coach if they still feel they can play? An idiot. Lets get a real coach and play soccer. They are making it look harder than it really should be for them.
When do we start holding Dave Checketts responsible for the poor performance of the team? He has obviously put alot of effort into the staduim but if the team is terrible, people are not going to come to games. It is sad to see the excitement of having professional soccer in Utah die out because we can't win games.
BOB,,,THIS IS THE SAME IDIOT COACH WHO AS A PLAYER LET THE PREVIOUS YEAR GOLDEN BOOT WINNER TAKE THE PENALTY KICKS WHICH WOULD HAVE MADE THE CAPTAIN'S TOTAL GOALS INCREASE AND THE GOLDEN BOOT PLAYER LESS LIKELY TO WIN THE GOLDEN BOOT.....OH, WELL, EACH TO THEIR OWN OPINION.....PERHAPS YOU SHOULD GET TO KNOW THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE SUCH NEGATIVE OPINIONS ABOUT...
As a season ticket holder I still look forward to upcoming home games. Even though there is a good chance I will go home disappointed yet again I still cling to the hope that Real will start playing like they did during their winning streak last summer. While we may have the worst record in the league at least we don't have to pay inflated ticket prices to every home game like Galaxy fans do and still watch our team lose nearly every game. As poorly as we've played we are only two games behind L.A. granted they have played fewer matches. Even if Real only wins 2 games this year I will be in my seat at Rice-Eccles next spring ready to cheer them on in a new season. Go Real!
Soccer is so boring. When the Jazz, the Utes, or the Cougars are in a slump it's the talk of the town. But Real? When people actually think about it, which is rare, it just makes them more upset about the public money wasted on the stadium. Nice job Huntsman!
