I bet they're not complaining when they sell their property and make a killing on it. My taxes in Lehi went up $300 this year, quit your whining!
Isn't it funny how those who are the richest complain they have to pay such a small amount. Their property has gone up so much in the last few years- that this is pennies on the dollar. For the lady who said she has to move- to where? Most other cities have an even higher tax rate. Downgrade your third hummer to an H3.
Taxes are evil. It's easy to remedy however. When this city council increases taxes, just vote their .... out of office and run for office. Promise to lower taxes. These people aren't kings, they just think they are.
If Kathleen Keller is spending 30% of her gross income on property taxes - it sounds like she needs a better job! Nothing like a 'little' exaggeration to make your point.
Let's be generous and figure that her property taxes are $5,000 a year. For this to be 30% of her gross income, she'd have to be making just under $17,000 a year... and she's living in Draper? Give me a break!
You've got to hate it when you don't allow a DI in your neighborhood to decrease proptery values!! :)
Let this be a lesson...if a DI wants to come to your neighborhood to help people, you'd best let it in or the Lord will take blessings away from you!
Maybe if the roads up at Suncrest are falling apart and the city can't keep them up. Why don't they just stop approving building permits on the top and sides of the mountains?
I can't wait for the city council vote in Draper. It shouldn't be a surprise who isn't a city council member anymore. Don't be surprised if none are left. Then I can't wait for the vote for mayor.
