Welcome to California folks. The comment about watsting money on certification is correct. Nothing like having a paper to say what a good person or city you are for your ego.

This story is inaccurate: "Submitting the paperwork to earn the certification will cost about $200,000 in staff time." This is not true and a correction is in order.
