The locals have every right to be sad and bitter. They've been badly used. One can only hope that the survivors and heirs of the deceased will be compensated and cared for well enough that they don't suffer additional trauma and stress. And, that whether it is safe to continue mining that site is investigated by objective experts, not political appointees or mine owners.
