I just have a question and I don't know if it has already been addressed in the media or not. Is it possible that the six miners were trapped in the falling rubble during the original collapse? I mean, under the falling coal? Maybe they aren't in some cavern somewhere but under the coal that the rescuers have been trying to dig through. Afterall, there were a few miners that escaped and according to Mr. Murray, miners are trained to stay together so they should have all been near each other. So, one would believe they would have all been in the same vicinity and therefore the six missing miners could be under the rubble from the initial collapse. I hope not, that would be absolutely tragic and horrible, but it is just a thought. Has anyone heard this possible scenario addressed? Just curious. Thanks.

Are the rescuers leaving the microphones in each of the caverns they have already reached? If a miner could move around, there is a chance that he might move into one of those caverns and the rescuers would never know it.

the manner in which noise is transmitted thru underground coal mine wouldnt you think that if the trapped miners were alive they would go to where the drilling bit would penetrate the coal seam, or where the two-way microphones are positioned underground.
why arent the personnel in charge of the recovery operations drilling a larger hole in conjunction with the other drilling operations to let mine rescue people enter the mine to explore for the missing miners, they have breathing apparatus to isolate themselves from a noxious or toxic environment, however the underground atomsphere is good it will sustain life. search from both ends ?
