AS FAR AS THE MINE IN UTAH, DESPITE THAT IT MAY HURT THE SURVIVING FAMILIES FEELINGS, AND I DEEPLY SYMPATHIZE WITH THEM, PERHAPS IT IS TIME TO DO WHAT TENNESSEE ERNIE FORD SANG IN HIS SONG ABOUT "BIG JOHN" (THE MINER): "THEY NEVER REOPENED THAT WORTHLESS PIT, JUST STUCK A MONUMENT IN FRONT OF IT: HERE LIES A BIG BIG MAN, BIG JOHN." SO IT IS WITH THE 3 CORRAGEOUS MEN THAT HAVE DIED TRYING TO SAVE THEIR COMRADES, WHO AFTER 11 DAYS MAY OR MAY NOT BE ALIVE. IT'S TIME TO CLOSE OFF THAT "WORTHLESS PIT & PUT A MONUMENT IN FRONT OF IT" SO ALL CAN HAVE CLOSURE. NO MORE LIVES SHOULD BE RISKED. E.C. PELFREY, TNCAREORBUST@YAHOO.COM

They may as well blame Bob Murray, after all a scapegoat is required and blame must be affixed, besides he is the most visible. I wonder if, in addition to "the Militant," there are more tort attorneys hanging around than media people? If so they will find law suits very difficult due the state workman's compensation laws.

Right now what the people of Huntington need most is to feel overwhelmed with support from all of us. Wear a black and blue ribbon to show compassion for the loss of those three brothers, and wear a white ribbon to show hope to still rescue the six. Donate money. Send an email. Let them know we care. Do something.

It is getting harder to find true hero's these days just read some of todays headlines about sports, and those in the media. But as I read about the rescure workers I have found ture hero's. They did everthing they could to get to their "Brothers" and some of them paid the ultimate price. There is a quote from Winston Churchhill "Making a living is what we get. making a life is what we give."
Know one should be asked to give their life for another, but these men did.
To their families I offer my prayers and sympathy.

I have prayed for the safe return of all. And for the comfort of the families. For our Heavely Father to give guidence and strenght to all threw this ordeal. My Grandchildren have included all in the prayers too. May all of you have peace with all you have to indure and May Mr. Murray have the strenght to handle all that is rolling down his way too. Please everyone have compassion on all of those threw this awful time.

My heart goes out to Brandon and his family. I've known Brandon for about 15 years. He was truly a great person and I am so sorry that he lost his life. He died a hero. It doesn't make it any easier, but he was a great guy and I hope like hell that everyone will remember Brandon for the great person he was. His 3 children should be really proud of their dad. He saved another mans life and he died trying to save 6 others. God Bless You Brandon!!!
