I have heard President Faust speak many times, and I have always enjoyed his words of wisdom.
Many of them who have helped me in my life to move on and stay on the straight and narrow path.
I am grateful for the lessons I have learned from this greats man.
He will be missed.

After a priesthood leadership meeting years ago in Charlotte, NC, I was able to meet Pres. Faust. I asked him to autograph a paperback copy of the book "To Reach even Unto You". I just wanted his signature, but he asked me for my name and my wife's name in order to make it personal!

From his humble testimony paraphrased in reverance, "I wonder how many drops of blood I caused the Savior to shed."
It will be remembered that President Faust caused way less to be spilt and transfused more light and life into the souls of this world.

I am honored to have listened to him speak several times in General Conference and how he work terribly hard to hold back the tears during a very tender moment of the story that touched many souls.
May we always remember how he loved others, cared for the poor, and the champion testimony of Christ and the divinity of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints.
From 1995, he has grown spiritually but his old age caught up with him and his body was completely worn out; but he is now resting in peace, with no more back pain in the paradise of God awaiting the resurrection and second coming of Christ. May we all be prepared for this eventuality!
Our thoughts and prayers go with the surviving family members and friends of Pres Faust.
Sincerely, Steven Bringhurst

I always enjoyed President Faust when he spoke. He had a captivating quality to the stories he told and the parables he taught. He possessed a rare gentle demeanour, with which he taught all who heard him. I will miss him, his lessons and especially his stories of family at Christmas. My prayers to his family, and our Apostles. Until we meet again.

My mother Irma Labrum White grew up with "Ez" and his brother Gus and recalled to me many times how her mother would say with love and some asperity: "oh those Faust boys!". I never met Pres. Faust, but his brother Augustus was my bishop when I got married and he performed the ceremony for us, as my husband was not a member of the church at the time. They grew out of their wayward boyhood to be great men.

Elder Faust was the only remaining member of the apostles who I have heard bear the same testimony as Elder McConkie. He was a true person, but his tremendous testimony is largely unknown.

He said, "My testimony is like the Brother of Jared's...After he saw the finger of the Lord, he believed no more, for he knew."

from the Missionary Journal of Ron Shiflet, Sydney Australia 1986.

You will be greatly missed here on earth. When you would say "I love you" I knew it was for me as well as for others. I love you and I love your family. They will miss you here but, will have you for eternity. I pray that I may be worthy to see you on the other side. Thank you great leader for all of your goodness and love.

I am grateful that we were able to have President Faust bear his testimony every 6 months with the other General Authorites. We lost a great church leader and a great man, but Heavenly Father gained a great Missionary. I send my condolences to the Faust Family, they are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I have a wonderful memory of President Faust,in Island Park, Idaho. At times he came to that area to visit family and to renew himself. On occasion, he would attend the Sacrament Meeting in the Island Park Ward, which would be filled to overflowing with their small ward membership and hundreds of vacationers in the area. One Sunday, he was in attendance and was asked to speak. A terrible boating accident had taken place on Henry's Lake. Members of the family of the lost victims were also in that meeting. The family's sorrow was compounded by the fact that their loved ones bodies had not yet been found in the Lake. Elder Faust spoke in the meeting. He offered his sympathy and love to the grieving family. In his remarks, he assured them that the bodies would be located within the next week, if everyone in the audience that day would keep the family in their prayers and exercise their faith. He was truly speaking with revelation from God, as the next week the bodies were located and the family was able to witness President Faust's words, as a reality. Our family joined in with all the families of that ward, in faith and prayers, for the grieving family. Many testimonies were strengthened by this experience. Thank you for your faith and example, Presidnet Faust.

I don't know if I'm related to him or not, but I'm sure somewhere down the line or not.
My feelings for the Church may not be good right now, but I'll always remember as a kind and spiritual man. I'll always remember the priviledge I had to meet with him for a few minutes in his office in Salt Lake when he was an Apostle.
The Church has lost a true spiritual giant.

President Faust was one of my favorite General Authorites. I loved to hear him speak at General Conferences. He will be truely missed here, but Heavenly Father has taken home a great missionary who will continue to serve him on the other side now. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family at this time.

President Faust was the first General Authority I ever met. It was in 1979 during the time I as a young widow with two little children was investigating the Church in Holland, where I come from. I was very impressed with his spirituality and his friendliness.

Our sympathy's go out to the family of President Faust. Know that you are in our prayers, and that hopes, wishes, and hugs of comfort are coming your way from afar.

We have always enjoyed listening and reading talks given by President Faust. He was a spiritual giant, and we count ourselves truly blessed and fortunate to have had one of the Lord's choice spirits amongst us, to teach and guide us in these latter days. He will truly be missed.

I was very sad when I read about President Faust death. A feel overwhelmed. He was a dear and great leader. I have to admit that I don't know how to express my feelings but I know that he is in a better place, arranging everything for us. My condolences for all the Faust family.

We met President Faust in Sao Paulo, Brazil, during his administration as the Regional Authority. He and Sister Faust were so kind to me, and so warm and welcoming to my future wife that I am certain their influence was instrumental in her conversion and baptism into the church. Our testimony of the Fausts's thoughtfulness and consideration was their appearance at our wedding reception in 1977 in North Ogden. This was a wonderful surprise for us and we will never, ever forget their generosity and sacrifice to join our family at that event. We learned from him and will forever be grateful for President Faust's testimony and gentle human qualities. Our thoughts and prayers our with Sister Faust and the family.

Elder Faust was a kind, gentle and caring, intelligent man who gave great service to the Lord and to his fellow man. I remember him for his courteousness to me in an awkward social situation. A great leader and gentleman has passed and we will greatly miss him. He goes onward to his family and to more needed service. Thank you for your contributions to us in this realm.

My husband was wating for me in the Salt Lake Clinic parking lot. He saw President Faust exit the building with another gentleman. My husband went out to shake President Faust's hand of whom he dearly loves to hear all of his words and teachings. The "driver" became alert, my husband is a big-6'4" Navajo, President Faust's step didn't faulter he greeted by husband recognizing in him the good sould that he is regardless of his size. It was an experience of a lifetime to shake the hand of an apostles of Jesus Christ.

While working in SLC, I noticed a man about the streets, without one arm. He wore a grim, grumpy expression; always seemingly angry.I wondered about his circumstances-how it happened, what that could mean to a life. Once after a long day of sitting, I chose to walk before commuting home. Ahead, I noticed this same man, talking with someone, but he was laughing, animated, & enjoying himself, like I had never seen him before... As I drew nearer, I wondered who the other man was, who wore a wind breaker-collar turned up, & a golf cap pulled lower on his brow. I thought, "What a wonderful gesture, to cheer this soul! I've never seen him so happy in the 11 months I've worked in SLC." I continued walking & they concluded about the time I reached them. The man with the hat turned & began walking the same direction as I, right next to me. I glanced over to say hello just as he glanced at me, & you guessed it---Pres. James. E. Faust.
