finished No. 1 in the MWC and No. 4 in the nation in total offense (337.0 yards per game)
No. 2 in the MWC in passing yards per game (289.2 average) ... completed 63.6% of his passes (210-of-330) for 2,892 yards and 18 touchdowns ... 7 interceptions was tied for the fewest of any MWC QB ... four 300-yard passing games. Not to mention he had 478 rushing yards with an additional 8 rushing touchdowns. Pretty good for a sophmore(at the time. I think it is also noteworthy to mention that he has been on the MWC Academic team for the two years he has played. Add those stats and experience to any recieving core, and you just might have the best receiving core in teh MWC. GO UTES!

Apparently some guys are good at compiling stats while other guys are good at winning games. When you can do both, your name is John Beck. But, in consolation BJ would have made a nice handy backup for JB.
Are you sure JB was that much better than BJ? I'm not.
But, seeing as how BYU fans are trying soooo desperately to make bold predictions, this isn't surprising.
