former miner | 12:18 p.m. Aug. 9, 2007
Bob Murray should keep his mouth shut until the rescue/recovery is complete. It seems to me he is trying to build a case to cover his tail and should leave all that for later. Right now all that matters are the miners and their families. I saw Marray on the Today Show and he kept insisting that an earth quake caused the cave in but all reports now susgest it was the cave in that caused the tremors and not the other way around. Also, it is looking more and more like this cave in was indeed caused by questionable mining techniques where the roof is allowed to collapse as crews retreat from the mine. Murray seems more worried about covering his tail and thowing up smoke screens than he does about the lives and the familes of the miners.

I still would rather listen to him than the Guv tell us these are real people, or any of the other bureaucrats just blow smoke.
Not a Bob fan | 1:59 p.m. Aug. 9, 2007

Media concerned | 2:15 p.m. Aug. 9, 2007
The media has sure been giving Murray a hard time. They should lay off. I know everyone want's to point a finger, but let's wait untill after the investigation. Stop trying to make Murray the bad guy.
Tired of the blame game | 3:02 p.m. Aug. 9, 2007
Very tired people looking for blame for bad things happening. I think it funny that people really believe that all tragedy can be averted. Accept that its life. Of course everyone wants to hang Bob Murray from a tree. Because then the tragedy has a face. Regardless of the safety precautions, things happen. Do you really believe that its in his best interest to have unsafe mines? People need to remove the emotion from situations and think level headed. Media needs to report on things that are happening rather than any new piece of speculation. Report facts not guesstimations.

Don't bother to post here. It's censored. Since this won't make the web page like my last one didn't I'll go elsewhere for my news. We need more Pollyanna's like you.

Whaaaaaaa Mr. Miner for 30 Years. Can I get you some cheese with that whine? Sheesh, perhaps the website has a terms of service that you violated. Pretty sure they're not censoring things, just look at other bone-headed comments here. Mine included!
Miner's Mom's 2 cents | 6:24 p.m. Aug. 9, 2007
With all the sadness and fear and anxiety and every other emotion going on here, the real issue is the safety of the miners and those on the rescue teams. Whether Mr. Bob is at fault or not, this is neither the time nor place for him to preach his political agenda to the world! Free advertising for his company and his product and his stand on the environment have NO PLACE in this series of heart wrenching events!
